Sophie Wilks

Sophie Wilks
Unionville High School, class of 2017

Sophie has been an outstanding student at Unionville High School maintaining a 4.20 gpa in one of Pennsylvania’s top-ranked academic secondary schools. She has attained Distinguished Honors all four years, and is a member of the National Honor Society An outstanding tennis player, Sophie’s athletic achievements include being a four year varsity player, and attaining all Ches-Mont League recognition each year. She was the 2015 Ches-Mont singles champion, competed in District One tennis championships (four years), and competed at the state level (three years). She was captain of the tennis team. Her leadership and community activities are quite impressive. She is the Vice-President of her senior class, and serves as the student representative on the Unionville-Chadds Ford School Board. Sophie founded UThon at Unionville to raise money for pediatric cancer research, and in its first year the organization raised over $13,500. In addition she is a founding member of Young Friends of Christianna Care and assists students whose illnesses prevent them from attending school. She is a HOBY Ambassador (international student program) and visited the Dominican Republic to assist impoverished youth as an Edify Group Leader. Closer to home she volunteers as a tennis tutor for at-risk students through the Rodney Street Tennis and Tutoring Program (Delaware).





Kerry Tomasetti

Kerry Tomasetti
Kennett High School, class of 2017

While attending Kennett High, Kerry has been a member of the National Honor Society and attained Commended Student status in the National Merit Scholarship Program. He is ranked in the top 10% of his class, with a weighted GPA of 4.303.

Kerry’s athletic accomplishments include being a 3 year varsity football starter, with selection to the 1st Team All Chesmont Team in both 2015 and 2016, as well as selection to the First Team of the Chesmont League All-Academic Team. He also served as a captain on both the varsity football and basketball teams in 2016.

Kerry has served as a tutor for his fellow teammates and has been a Sunday School teacher at Willowdale Chapel. He is a member of the Fellowship for Christian Athletes and serves as a mentor for disabled students in the Special Friends Club.
