THE 1985 BISHOP SHANAHAN BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM: State Champions Special Recognition 2017 The 1985 Bishop Shanahan Boys Basketball Team began their season by beating Downingtown 69-43. They won their next two games before playing a good Malvern Prep team and lost 51-47. They bounced back in the next game and beat Chichester 60-55. JOHN ALLEN: Basketball Class of 2017 John Allen is the all-time leading scorer in the storied history of Coatesville High School basketball, with 2,372 points. His senior year, Allen averaged 26 points per game and led Coatesville to the Pennsylvania State AAAA title. He capped his outstanding high school career by receiving numerous honors. SCOTT GRAHAM: Baseball Class of 2017 Scott Graham was a lifelong resident of West Chester, where he and CCSHOF member Jon Matlack were battery mates at West Chester High School. Though successful as a player in high school and college, an injury while playing in the West Chester Adult Baseball League in 1973 led Scott to ask Commissioner Frank Farley if he could finish out the season as an umpire.
