Michael Lorback is being inducted for his successful 26-year career as the Boys' Soccer Coach at Henderson High School. His teams earned 308 wins, and thus he is the winningest soccer coach in Ches-Mont League history.
Between 2000-2005, the Henderson soccer team won three District 1 titles, reached the State Finals four times, played in the State Final game three times and, in 2002, won the PIAA-AAA State Championship! Michael is a five-time Ches-Mont League Coach of the Year, the Daily Local News Coach of the Year, Philadelphia Inquirer Coach of the Year, Southeastern PA Coach of the Year, and in 2002, he was named PA State Coach of the Year.
During the 50-year anniversary celebration of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, Michael was recognized by his alma mater, West Chester University, for his contributions to soccer.
He has served as the Ches-Mont League representative for the District 1 Steering Committee, a long-time Regional Chair on both the National High School Ranking Committee and the Assistant Coach of the Year committee as well as the Co-Chair of the State High School Boys Ranking Committee.
Michael developed the Mission Statement for the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association and established partnerships between the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association and NSCAA and EPYSA.
Michael Lorback is currently the secretary of the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association. Previously, he has served as their President, 1st Vice President and 2nd Vice President.
