Mike Boykin was an outstanding wrestler at Coatesville High School. During his four years he compiled a 142-14 regular season record and 10-3 record in PIAA state tournaments. As a junior he placed 3rd in the PIAA meet. Mike finished his senior year (2014) with a perfect 40-0 record and a state championship at 220lbs. He represented Pennsylvania in the Dapper Dan Tournament, which pits Pennsylvania’s best wrestlers against the best in the USA, where he lost to Kyle Snyder who went on to win an Olympic Gold medal in 2016.

He continued his wrestling career with a full scholarship to North Carolina State where he compiled a record of 77-39 and was a 2-time NCAA qualifier. Following his collegiate career, he competed at the 2019 USA world team trials and the U23 Nationals.

Mike also excelled in football at Coatesville where he anchored a defensive line that powered the Red Raiders to the 2012 district 1 title and an appearance in the PIAA State Championship game. He was named team captain in his senior year, and the Ches-Mont league coaches selected him as the national division defensive lineman of the year in both 2012 and 2013. In addition, he competed in Track & Field as a shot-putter.
