Ted Travis-Bey
Football • Phoenixville

Eubank “Ted” Travis-Bey, Jr. is a Phoenixville native who graduated from Phoenixville Area High School in 1961. Ted starred in football as the quarterback for 3 years and point gaurd in basketball, winning Ches-Mont championships and All Ches-Mont honors in both sports. He attended and graduated from Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, PA in 1965, where he was a four-year starter for the Wilkes football team in the early 1960s. Travis-Bey broke into the Colonels starting unit as a rookie, playing halfback and quarterback. As a sophomore he was moved primarily to halfback and promptly earned All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors. During his four seasons he rushed for nearly 400 yards, passed for close to 200, caught 26 passes for 423 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. He also starred in basketball there. Ted was inducted into the Wilkes College Sports Hall of Fame in 2000. He recieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, with a major in Accounting. Ted served in the Army in Viet Nam and thenenjoyed a successful accounting career that spanned forty years and led him to serve on various local area community organizations’ board of directors. He has served the Phoenixville community for over 20 years.
