Kate played four years of varsity field hockey, leading Unionville High School
to many league and district championships.She then played and starred for the
National Field Hockey championship North Carolina Tarheels who were '95, '96
and '97 national champs. Kate was a three time All-American player in college.
She was 1995 ACC player of the year and two time Honda Sports Award nominee.
Kate played 13 years on the U.S. national team, was captain of the 2008 Pan
Am team and was captain of the U.S. Olympic team that competed in 2008 in
Beijing, China. She was named U.S.A. Field Hockey Athlete of the Year in 2006.
