We live in a time when the “normal” activities we once engaged in are no longer possible. The pandemic has transitioned us from our daily routines, to our concerns for the health, safety and well-being of our family and friends. You are a valued member of CCSHOF and on behalf of the organization I sincerely hope you are well and safe.

CCSHOF’s concern for our members’ safety has led to several discussions about our programs. Earlier we made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Richard B. Yoder High School Scholar-Athlete Award.

This past week the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors have discussed two extremely important activities—conducting our annual Hall of Fame, and Historic Members Inductions, and the uncertainty of our ability to host both events.

After much discussion by the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, we unanimously decided to cancel the 2020 CCSHOF Induction and banquet, and the 2020 Historic Member Induction and luncheon.

This was a difficult decision since these are two of the most important activities we sponsor. Furthermore, one of the dividends of your membership is the ability to nominate and vote for CCSHOF inductees. However, everyone felt that the health and well-being of our members far exceeded the need to induct new members for 2020.

Although we are canceling the 2020 CCSHOF inductions, we want you to know:
• We will hold our 2021 Induction Banquet on November 13, 2021 at the Red Clay Room in Kennett Square, PA.
• The 2021 Historic Member Induction will occur in the late summer.
• As a thank you for your understanding, all members who have paid their 2020 dues will receive a complimentary membership for 2021. (You may still pay your 2021 dues, but if you wish, we are happy to extend your membership for next year.)

Our organization depends on members like you to help us recognize and honor the rich and diverse history of Chester County athletics. Thank you for your continued support of the Chester County Sports Hall of Fame. And thank you for your understanding in this most difficult period of our history.

Be safe and stay well,

Michael Peich,
President
Chester County Sports Hall of Fame
