Katie O’Donnell was a field hockey and lacrosse star at West Chester Henderson High School. She was a three time first team All Ches-Mont and All-Area (2012-2014) lacrosse team member,and was twice chosen the Daily Local News Lacrosse Player of the Year (2013 & 2014).

As a senior she was the Southeastern Pennsylvania Lacrosse Player of the Year (2014). A two-time first team high school lacrosse All-American (2013-2014), she set the Pennsylvania State scoring record with 430 markers. Recognition for her field hockey play included being named first team All-State (2014).

Katie’s #5 jersey was retired at Henderson in recognition of her outstanding achievements in lacrosse and field hockey. O’Donnell continued her lacrosse career at Penn State where her team had back-to-back Final Four appearances (2017-2018). She was two-time team captain, and was a three-time first team All-Big Ten selection (2016-2018). Katie was named to two Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association first-team All-Region and All-American teams (2017-2018).

An outstanding student, she was a three-time Big Ten All-Academic team member, and was honored as the Big Ten Midfielder of the Year (2018).

Following her 2018 graduation she was the fourth overall pick for the New England Command of the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League, winning the league championship in her first season. Katie is a member of the United States Women’s National Lacrosse Team and resides in West Chester. She is the daughter of Jen (CCSHOF Inductee 2016) and John O’Donnell.
