Jack McClellan
Coaching • West Chester

Jack McClellan graduated from Shippensburg State College after WW II. He received several awards during his service including the Bronze Star and the Presidential Unit Citation. At Shippensburg, Jack served as President of his class and Captain of the Basketball team. His first teaching and coaching job was at Palmyra High School in New Jersey. He came to West Chester in 1951. He taught English and was the Head Baseball Coach for 12 years, Head Basketball Coach for 25 years and the Head Golf Coach for for 10 years. His golf teams won 5 Ches- Mont Championships. His basketball teams won 8 Ches-Mont Championships. His career basketball records was 530 wins and 191 losses. Jack was inducted into the Ches-Mont Hall of Fame in 2011. He also served many years as West Chester’s Director of Recreation.
