He was known for his scoring ability amassing 1576 points for his college career in three years. Marshall was named an All-American at LaSalle in his senior year. While at LaSalle, Hubie was twice named the recipient of its Scholarship/Citizenship Athlete Award. He was a draft selection of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and a selection of the Indiana Pacers of the ABA in each league’s 1967 drafts. Marshall played in the North American Basketball League for Holland - making Second Team All-Star in the 1967-1968 seasons. Hubie graduated from LaSalle College and continued to play basketball for Phillips 66 teams (where he was employed) as a semi-professional for many years. He was named to the Big Five All-Time Team (only 50 players were chosen to receive this honor) for his basketball accomplishments during his incredibly successful career at LaSalle.
