Curt was born on November 14, 1966 in Anchorage, AK and lived in Kennett Square while pitching for the Philadelphia Phillies from 1992 until 2000. He also played for the Arizona Diamondbacks and most recently the Boston Red Sox. Curt was a key member of the Phillies 1993 World Series team with 186 strikeouts and a 16-7 record and was named NLCS MVP. He won World Series championships with Arizona in 2001 (was named co-MVP) and with Boston in 2004 and 2007. Curt was also a member of six All-Star teams and was runner up in Cy Young Award voting in 2004. Curt is regarded as one of the best playoff pitchers in MLB history with a career record of 11-2 . Curt Schilling retired in March of 2009 with a won-loss record of 216-146, a 3.46 ERA and 3116 career strikeouts (14th most in major league baseball).
